The Bogota Transport Revolution continued
Were you were inspired by the article in the last issue on the radical moves to public transport and cycling in Bogota, the capital of Columbia in South America?
Then follow this issue further by logging onto www.peopleandplanet.net. Use the Search facility for Bogota and you'll find the original article by Curtis Runyan (17th Feb 03)"Bogota designs transportation for people, not cars". Well worth reading again.
Follow that with "Car wars: learning from Bogota" (28th Mar 03) by Professor John Whitelegg. Either you'll want to visit the place yourself or even more usefully send our local councillors there to be converted.
Thanks to Sara Basterfield.
